Welcome to the Centering Pregnancy Plus Project Web site!
The Centering Pregnancy Plus Project aims to reduce risk for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases and improve health outcomes for young pregnant women, aged 14-21. This project is a research study being conducted in collaboration with more than 14 community hospitals and community health centers in New York City that provide prenatal care to underserved women and communities. This study tests CenteringPregnancy Plus (CP+), an exciting new model of group prenatal care that incorporates HIV/STD prevention education and skills building activities. CP+ has shown positive outcomes in previous research with other communities.
